Lakeland Logs works closely with
forestry contractors and woodland managers from local estates.
The drying process starts as soon as the timber is
felled and stacked.
We use mixed hardwoods, mainly beech, ash, sycamore, oak and birch,
which are all renowned for their excellent burning qualities.
The timber is delivered to our production yard by
lorries carrying 25-tonne loads.
The wood is then loaded onto our new state of the art computerised wood-processing machine which cuts and
splits the timber into logs.
All the logs go over a filter system so bark shavings and sawdust don’t
go into the bags, leaving a clean product.
The logs are stored in our special ventilated bulk
bags on pallets in our airy barns.
Once the drying process is complete,
the seasoned logs are ready for delivery.
We now also offer larger alpine style logs cut up to 500mm to cater for the growing demand for log boilers.
(order by specail arrangement)
We also process logs for larger companies in their own branded bags for re-sale. Contact us on 01768 895204 for wholesale prices.
